Scenes coming out of DC are already violent, as hundreds of protesters have already clashed with DC police outside the “DeploraBall” the night before Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 45th president of the United States.
According to reports, hundreds of angry protesters amassed outside of the National Press Club where the ‘DeploraBall’ was being held. Pro-Trump supporters were reportedly attacked by anti-Trump protesters, with one guy claiming he was hit in the head with a flagpole, causing him to black out and wake up bleeding. Protesters also pelted DeploraBall attendees with trash as they left the event.
Around nine p.m., riot police hit the angry crowd with a “chemical spray” the Washington Post reported.
Some said it was tear gas, but others disagreed.
