A man should be allowed to say whatever he wants to say in this country, no matter how rude it is for him to say it, without his business being taken away from him. It seems so many people have forgotten what free speech really means.

I would boycott them but since I follow no professional sports anyway, all I can do is just to continue to not contribute to them financially.

Well said friend. I have heard several sides to this, but I really appreciate this video commentator’s perspective. But know one seems to be asking the right questions.
First of all, we don’t even know the context of why this was being said? Was she cheating on him? Flirting with other men? Who knows? Though I get this feeling, and he was speaking out of anger. Can we really judge him for feeling this way, once we know his girlfriend may have been flaunting “other relationships” in his face? Boy, I’d be mad too!
Second, what was the nature of the relationship between him and her? Was it purely physical? Was it loving? Were they just being mean to one another for some unknown reason we are unaware? Who knows? Seems to me like she was just trying to blackmail him for $$$. Otherwise, none of this would have been made public, if she really loved him.
Third, he was in his privacy of his home, right? Since when are we to be judging him in a private conversation/argument with his girlfriend? Goodness, we have all said things in the heat of anger that we all regret. Glad my wife didn’t record any of that.
In closing, commissioner was way too hard on this man for Donald Sterling’s private conversation with a woman not even 1/2 his age. We do still have free speech, right? Then why fault him? Are we perfect? Oh, and before you label me racist, my wife and children are African American.

I agree…Sterling was tried, convicted and hung before he could even defend himself.
