I remember there was a girl where I worked who had the hugest crush on him and called in sick the night he died. She was devastated.

A buddy of mine was a big fan too. I was sitting in a car with him waiting to pick up his wife when we heard the news – he was crushed as were many of his fans.

For me it was Beatles, Doors, Led Zep, Joni Mitchell, Melanie, Carol King and James Taylor.

Beatles are very popular right now with 18 – 26 year olds. Apparently that age group is responsible for the huge sales of Beatles songs on Itunes.
